How much does she weigh though?

Depending on her height .......on TV and in magazines she appears to be in that range.

I'm just sayin.

What I find rude is that any weight was put out there on front street.

His entire demeanor was off the chain.

You know I cn believe it about stupid people.  I meet them everyday, and lately I seem to have more bold people with their outburst bout the fat girl.  This was one of the reasons I became what we call a recluse.  I stayed in my house and stopped going out except to laundry and groceries or work.  Oh and yes I encountered this at work too.

The Stupid Ignoramouses will all burn in hell if thy ain't right.

Here's my take on it, he was there to except an award...period.  Now I believe in the book, her character was obese, so casting her partly because of her weight made sense.  Beyond that, anything about her weight and more specifically how much she weighs, is a mute point.  He was a complete ******* for saying what he did, where he did, when he did and when he opened his putrid little, tight lipped mouth, he proved what a racist, mental midget he really is!

Not that I feel like I have to defend lee daniels, but this is actually very different on screen than it reads in print.   he's conveying how difficult it was to get a movie of this type made because "no one wanted to see a movie about a 350 lb black girl"  (on screen it's clear that he's talking about precious, not gabourey) and then as though it's just occurring to him to clarify that for the audience he stops his thought, gestures to gabby and says she's not 350 pounds, just wanna make that clear and then gabby says thank you, nods and acknowledges that he's referring to her character, not her personally.   the quotes are accurate, the events are accurate, but in print it makes it sound like he was trying to put her on blast.   your mileage may vary but I just didn't think that was fair.

Hey girl!!  Fair enough.  Lost in translation...that makes sense...and he's right, it is hard to get anyone to care and want to see a movie about anyone who is obese.  The only exception to that rule is that the biggest looser show is watched by millions of non-obese people.  I suspect however, they do because they either like to see fat people suffer or they like routing for the "under dog".  Just my take on it.

easy to do - funny you should mention this one - i have lunch with this one lady in my office all the time and when we started watching biggest loser (i was pre op) she'd say stuff like it makes me feel good about myself to watch that show (she's a size 2) i said (growing salty) whaddya mean?  she said you know it makes me feel better that the contestants can, you know overcome their struggle.   i thought she meant:  it makes me feel good about myself in an i'm so glad i'm tiny smug kinda way.   i wasn't unhappy per se back then, but i was a very defensive champion of the chubsters so it would've gotten um, unpleasant.  lol.

I have heard this sooo many times.  I have even known people (and I use the description loosely) who find the biggest looser extremely funny (yeah funny)!  The mentality being  "watching all these "fatties" sweat and run up hills and take of there shirts and show there flab"....all hysterical.  Sad.
